Committees
Executive Committee
The Executive Committee consists of four (4) members, including the President, Secretary, Treasurer and a non-officer Board member selected by the President. The Executive Committee is authorized to act in emergency situations and other situations as deemed appropriate by the Board. The Executive Committee will act as the governance committee of the Board, including amendments to the Bylaws, subject to Article VIII of these Bylaws. The Executive Committee also coordinates with the national organization on matters deemed appropriate by the Board.
Education Day Committee
The Committee develops and coordinates the Education Day program for presentation to the general membership. This committee is also responsible for recommending the general program for the annual education day, including subject matter, speakers, location, and other pertinent details. Each year the committee will prepare and submit a budget for the annual education day to the Board for approval. The committee is also responsible for conducting a survey of the membership to ascertain the topics and priority of interest in presentations.
Events & Outreach Committee
The Committee will plan events to further the goals and objectives of GHSHRM including networking with ASHRM, its affiliates and other enterprise risk management professionals. The Committee will develop and promote mentoring opportunities as well as educational events. The Committee will engage with the community to promote GHSHRM’s objectives
Marketing Committee
The Committee will create and maintain the GHSHRM brand. It will build an online presence using different social media platforms. The Committee is responsible for generating electronic communications and surveys to conduct GHSHRM business to promote its mission.
Website Committee
The Committee shall be responsible for the development and maintenance of the GHSHRM website. Significant design and content changes are subject to Board approval. The Committee shall determine appropriate content and uses for the website and shall be responsible for its accuracy. Subject to Board approval, the Committee shall determine the need for any contracted website services for a specific purpose or on an ongoing basis. It is also responsible for maintaining online continuing education offerings.
Sponsorship Committee
The Committee will coordinate and organize fundraising and sponsorship efforts aimed at supporting GHSHRM and its events.
